Why it matters
The LUMÉA device with the conductive gel

Your device doesn't work properly without it

Radiofrequency and microcurrent need something conductive between the treatment head and your skin. Run the device dry and the current concentrates in patches instead of spreading evenly — which is why it can feel sharp, catch as you glide, and never quite deliver what the mode is supposed to.

This gel is formulated for exactly that job. It carries the current smoothly across the whole treatment area, so the device moves the way it should and every mode performs the way it was designed to.

  • Even conductivity across all five modes
  • Enough slip for a full ten-minute session
  • Won't dry out or go tacky mid-treatment
  • Included in every LUMÉA bundle
What's in it

Two actives, nothing you don't need

A conductive gel sits on your face for ten minutes a night. It should be doing something while it's there.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract

Calms and soothes as you treat, which matters most on the warming modes. Long-established in skincare for comfort on sensitive or reactive skin.

Sodium Hyaluronate

Sodium Hyaluronate

A smaller-molecule form of hyaluronic acid. Holds water at the surface so skin stays hydrated through the session and doesn't feel tight afterward.

How to use

Apply more than feels necessary

The most common mistake is being sparing with it. A thin layer dries out halfway through and the device starts to catch.

1

Cleanse and apply

On clean, dry skin, spread a generous even layer across the areas you're treating. It should look slightly wet, not absorbed.

2

Glide

Move the device in slow upward strokes for ten minutes. Add more gel if any area starts to feel dry or the head begins to drag.

3

Finish

Tissue off any excess, or leave it to absorb. Follow with your serum and cream while skin is still warm.

I tried a session without it once and won't do that again. Completely different feel — the device just slides instead of dragging.

Not sticky at all, which surprised me. Wipes off clean and my skin doesn't feel tight afterward.

Went straight for the big one on my second order. Works out much cheaper and I'm not reordering every month.

Verified buyer

No scent whatsoever, which is exactly what I wanted. My skin reacts to most fragranced things and this has been fine.

Verified buyer

Use more than you think you need. I was being stingy at first and it kept drying out halfway through the session.

The 100ml lasted me about five weeks doing it most nights. Good texture, cool on the skin, no complaints.

Questions
Do I really need it, or is it optional?

It's needed. The radiofrequency and microcurrent modes require something conductive between the treatment head and your skin. Without it the current can't spread evenly, the device drags rather than glides, and the modes underdeliver.

Can I use ultrasound gel instead?

It will conduct, but it's built for a clinical probe, not a ten-minute facial — most are thin, tacky as they dry, and do nothing for your skin while they sit there. This one is formulated to stay slippery for a full session and to leave skin hydrated rather than tight.

Which size should I get?

The 100ml lasts roughly four to six weeks of nightly use and is a good first purchase. The 300ml works out about 31% cheaper per millilitre and ships free, so it's the better buy once you know you'll keep going.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

It's fragrance-free, alcohol-free, mineral oil-free, pH balanced and dermatologist-tested, which covers the most common irritants. If your skin is reactive, patch test on your inner forearm for 24 hours before a full session.

Is it sticky? Does it leave residue?

No. It stays slippery while you're treating, then absorbs or wipes away clean with a tissue. There's no film left behind and it won't pill under a serum or cream.

How long does shipping take?

US orders arrive in 3–5 business days. Orders over $35 ship free — that covers the 300ml on its own, or two 100ml tubes. Below that, shipping is $3.99.

What's the return policy?

Unopened tubes can be returned within 30 days. If something arrives damaged, email us and we'll replace it.

Buying the device too?

Every LUMÉA bundle includes a tube of this gel, so you're not paying for it separately. The Glow bundle adds the PDRN & Peptide Glow Serum and saves you $27 against buying each piece on its own.
